Il percorso della terapia prevede una seduta settimanale della durata di circa 50 minuti per un periodo massimo di 12-14 mesi le eventuali sedute di musicoterapia vengono stabilite durante il corso della terapia a seconda del bisogno e dello stato d'animo del paziente (in questo caso una seduta dura circa due ore e prevede l'ascolto di brani musicali specifici in relazione al disagio esposto dal paziente).
